There are two issues at play here - some players are in fact hacking the leaderboards and entering in whatever scores they like, which is an issue that we're hoping to address via patch. Right now it seems there is absolutely zero kind of proactive validation of scores posted and only (apparently) daily clearing of the fake scores by a method that the developers won't disclose. Rather, I think if you're going to bother having high score tables in the first place there should at least be *some* kind of proactive effort to keep them clean, however minimal. It may not matter to you, but that doesn't mean it doesn't matter to others.
I disagree with the notion that the high score tables aren't important and therefore nobody should care about the cheaters that are almost always in the top spots. I tried it it was super easy I know it works, never bothered to top any leaderboards because again it accomplishes nothing.
